Type of container for storage clean water

Just reading through an article about point-of-use contamination. Very interesting results although we knew it already. We know that filtering in the house is already reducing the chance of contamination because of the dirty containers issue. However I guess when we would be promoting sand filters, we have to think about promoting what kind of container the filtered water flows into. If people can touch it by hand (as in the wide-necked water containers) then the household filtration is also not the best it could be, and perhaps the results will be the same as if they would get it from far away in the jerry can or whatever.

    Cheers, Eric.
